"Pooches Paradise" at Solara Resort
**Pool closed for maintenance Nov 27 - Dec 8 2023** Located 15 minutes from Banff, and approximately one hour from Calgary, this home away from home comes with a fully equipped kitchen and a lovely covered patio with BBQ and seating to enjoy the mountain air. We love where we live, and we love to share it with guests, so when you stay with us we welcome you properly, with added touches such as freshly roasted local coffee and locally made, 100% natural bath and body products. The entire apartment is kept clean using only eco-friendly cleaning products (no nasty chemicals here!).
Guests have access to all parts of the condo and the resort, excluding the Stay Well program which is for hotel guests only.
Solara Resort and Spa is located in the main tourist condo area. The local bus is nearby, with connections to a bus to Banff , Lake Louise and Calgary. If you come by airport shuttle the stop is a couple of minutes up the road. This is a licensed, legal condo, so your booking is assured. Coffee shops, liquor store, general store etc. are all 5 minutes walk away. If you need a little pampering, One Wellness spa is gorgeous, and is located within Solara Resort. There are restaurants, coffee shops and bars close by, see our Welcome Book for details.
The apartment is best suited for couples, but there is extra accommodation for 1-2 on the comfy sofa bed if you need it. The indoor pool and hot tub are a welcome place to revive sore muscles after a day of adventure, and if you want to work off dinner, there is a fantastic gym in One Wellness. Personal coaching, use of the sauna and steam room (highly recommended) and full spa service are available at extra cost. Can't be bothered walking to town? There's a decent Asian-fusion restaurant across the street in Falcon Crest Lodge, plus excellent dining at Shops of Canmore (5 minutes walk) or The Malcolm Hotel in Spring Creek (7 minutes walk - the Stirling Lounge is our favorite!)
Canmore offers loads of opportunities for the adventurous and serene alike. Hike, bike, climb, ski, white water raft or canoe, and when you need a little downtime, settle with a picnic blanket and a book in a park besides the river in summer, or cosy up in front of the fire in winter.
Free local Roam transit is available within Canmore, with connections to Banff and Lake Louise (fares apply). Legacy Trail bike path to Banff is literally a one minute ride away. Canmore is highly walkable, with dedicated paths for both foot traffic and bikes all over town. Bikes can be rented from Gear Up, a 5 minute walk from the home.

We accidentally went to the wrong entrance and had trouble checking in, but the staff were incredibly kind and patient over the phone, guiding us through the process until everything was sorted out. We really appreciated their help.The apartment was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. Considering how expensive this area is, having a fully equipped kitchen was a huge plus. It had more than enough cookware, dishes, and cutlery, and even included cooking oil, salt, and pepper, which was a nice surprise.There was also plenty of laundry detergent and garbage bags provided, so everything we needed was already there.Being able to use the swimming pool and hot tub on the first floor was another great bonus, especially for families traveling with children.We highly recommend staying here!

This was my wife and I's second time booking a stay in Canmore with Jane and it was absolutely perfect. Jane and her team communicated easily and in a timely matter whenever we had questions. The resort being dog friendly was the most important thing. Everything in Canmore is within walking distance from the Airbnb as well. We will definitely be back!

If you’re considering this condo — book it! It was exactly what we expected and so clean. The communication was fabulous and our dog was happy to find grass just a few steps beyond the rockery outside. The whole building was clean and friendly, and we’d totally book this again. Quiet condo, lots of amenities, easy access to get outside so I could walk the dog, and kitchen had everything I needed to cook.

This condo was perfect for us (2 adults and 2 dogs)! We prefer cooking at home and the kitchen had everything we needed, with a grill as a bonus which was very clean! We were able to walk the dogs straight outside from the condo, which is priceless. On down days from the National Parks, we explored Canmore on foot, it is very walkable and the views are amazing. The downtown area and grocery store are just a few minute drive. We utilized the co-located fitness facility which was included in our rental, a very nice amenity! There was plenty of storage in the condo for a weeks stay. Jane and the team responded immediately to my messages on various topics. We would most definitely stay again!

Really enjoyed this air bnb. Very well stocked with kitchen items and anything you need to feel at home. Clean, spacious, beautiful. Quick and easy communication with host and nice online guidebook. There is street parking and underground parking. Only a couple small things: they notified me of a water shutdown from 10am -4pm on the day after my arrival, but it was clear from signs in the elevator that this was planned at least a week before so would have been more respectful to give this information prior to check in instead of waiting until the last minute. It didn't affect my plans but for others it might have. Also they will accommodate a late check out by 1.5 hr but it will cost $40.

Had a few issues with the check in Indigo parking instructions initially which were part of the welcome package when parking underground but Jane sorted them out for me promptly and efficiently. very impressed with the whole experience. our dog loved his few days in Canmore and will definitely be back. As described, nice place to stay with your dog. Convenient location, comfortable, reasonable price. Has access to sports channels to watch hockey. Best of all you are not expected to clean the entire apartment on top of paying a cleaning fee. They just ask that you start the dishwasher and take out the garbage if you can, very reasonable.

We had an amazing stay here over the weekend. Felt at home, bed was super comfortable and place was very clean. It was perfect this location had easy access to several walking trails and restaurants close by. We loved the condo. It was definitely a Pooch's Paradise. The pooches loved looking out the window and having easy access to outdoors. We felt right at home!

We had a wonderful time in a fantastic condo in the beautiful Solara Resort. The condo itself markets as being pet friendly and it is indeed. With two exits from the condo on the ground floor and one from the hallway, it is easy take your dog out quickly when required. We also found all manner of dog equipment like even a shampoo. For a human perspective, the condo really offers everything you need and expect in abundance. Starting with a personalized greeting and a little welcome soap, you immediately feel expected. The kitchen is very well stocked and to our great pleasure, the pots and pans were very useable and not scratched or broken like in so many other places you rent. Given this condo is designed for two people, you have more than enough dishes and cutlery to avoid having to clean after every meal just to be able to have the next. The bathtub/shower offers a variety of features, from a rain shower, to a handheld, to body sprays. The bathroom is also very well stocked with shampoo, body wash, conditioner, body lotion, big towels and small. The bed is very solid and comfortable. Overall we were very happy to have found this gem and will definitely look for it in the future again.
